Viviane Bauquet Farre
A native of a French South Pacific island, Viviane has been a serious cook since the age of six, when she began preparing her family’s meals, perched atop a stool. After moving to the U.S. and enjoying a successful career as a fashion designer, Viviane felt the call of her deepest joy—creating beautiful food.
Though her style is rooted in Southern French and Italian cuisines, the recipes Viviane creates are exuberant, fresh and modern—and grounded in a deep love for seasonal ingredients, which she buys from local farmers or harvests from her own vegetable garden.
Her passion for ingredients extends to wine as well. The recipient of an advanced certificate from the WSET, Viviane frequently pairs unique wines with her dishes. She seeks out producers who make wines that are pure and express a sense of place—winemakers who put their soul into their work. The perfect complement to her own philosophy.
