Signature Wines:

What is your favorite food and wine pairing?
Food and wine pairings are a part of some of my fondest memories, and I’ve found sharing these memories is a great way to connect with people. There are two pairings from years ago that are ingrained in my memory, and that I still talk about often. One was experienced at Tribeca Grill in NYC. We were drinking a 2000 Dutton Ranch Russian River Valley Chardonnay with a perfectly prepared lobster risotto. The other was at Norman’s Restaurant in Miami, Florida. We were served seared foie gras on French toast with maple syrup and a glass of Sauterne. Unbelievably good!
If you had unexpected guests coming in an hour, what is your go to meal?
Fajitas. Sauté peppers, onions, garlic and any kind of meat (if you wish to add meat). I like to serve it over a bed of fresh lettuce, or in a whole wheat tortilla with cheese, salsa and more peppers. I start with the basics (onion, garlic and peppers), but depending on what is in the fridge, or fresh in the garden, I go from there.
What are the favorite places you have visited?
The San Juan Islands on a sailboat. I loved visiting all of the little harbors, seeing bald eagles and being among all the natural beauty while drinking delicious wine.
What is the favorite wine you produced?
I am a huge fan of Chardonnay, and perfectly aged Chardonnays are among my true loves. Our 2002 Alder Springs Chardonnay, 2000 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay and 2010 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay are life benchmarks for me. Currently, I am really enjoying our 2013 Hudson Vineyard Chardonnay.

What woman has inspired you?
The first woman that comes to mind is my mother. She is loving, strong, creative, beautiful and smart, and makes a difference in so many people’s lives. I am so proud to be her daughter.I also admire the women that I have met over the years that work for non-profit organizations. Major Katina at Napa Salvation Army, Karen at the Hope Resource Center, Brit at the American Heart Association. There are many more, but I really admire these women that work so hard and care so deeply about the people they serve and help.
