Drinkward Peschon/Behrens Family Winery

At the age of 16, my first real job was at the Vineyard Wine and Cheese Deli in San Diego, and this led to a life long love of food and wine. Working in restaurants through college led to a 7 year stint of restaurant ownership with my husband Les Behrens,which led to the founding of our winery, Behrens Family Winery. The wine industry is so much more multifaceted than the daily slog of the restaurant (which I also loved), and allows for more normal hours spent with family – except during Harvest, which is my favorite time of year. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from the rich community that is found in this world of wine.
